common questions

Do you offer consultations?

Yes, I offer..

A 30-min video consultation ($50). This is a good fit for those who: want to check if I offer a certain type of specialized support, are nervous about starting therapy, are uncertain about how therapy works, or who want to connect with their therapist prior to intake. Consultations are not therapy and are used to determine client-therapist “fit.”

A full-length 50-minute TeleTherapy (video call) intake ($130) and evaluation. This includes mental health assessment and evaluation, a relational health check, and an experience of my approach. Please feel free to arrive with questions, goals, stories, and any concerns you have so I can help you feel comfortable and confident engaging in therapy.

How long does each therapy session take? How often do I attend?

Most therapy sessions are 50 minutes unless you would like an extended 80-minute session. I recommend most clients attend weekly therapy for the most fulfilling results.

How does TeleTherapy work?

TeleTherapy is an accessible way to receive support that involves a secure link to your own virtual therapy space. All that's required is a private space, computer, and internet connection. The virtual platform I use is confidential and HIPAA compliant.

What do you specialize in?

A short answer is: relationships. That could mean your relationship with yourself, family, partners, or peers. For a fuller list, please see My Approach.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

On a limited basis, I do have a certain number of bookings for those with limited financial resources or for those who belong to under-resourced communities. A good faith estimate is available upon request or upon scheduling.

I am an Out of Network provider, which means you may or may not be reimbursed by your insurance provider. I recommend contacting them directly. I do partner with Reimbursify, so you can quickly check on insurance reimbursement through their app. Unfortunately, many insurance providers do not offer couples therapy coverage.

I can accept payment from PayPal, HSA/FSAs, Master Card, AMEX, and Visa.

a consultation can let you know if the fit is right for you.
